9 Finns participated in the first round of qualifying, two of them, Aleksi Löfman and Oskar Antinheimo, made it to the second round. Löfman defeated Curacao’s Aydan Gomez Osorio 6-0, 6-3, and Oskar Antinheimo defeated Italy’s Matteo Covato 7-6, 6-3.
The competitions continue on Tuesday with the second round of qualifying and the opening round of the doubles. In the second round of the qualifier, Löfman and Antinheimo will meet, so we will definitely get one more Finnish player in the main draw.
